      Cabane A Sucre- Plamondon

      This is an annual Francophone activity in the community of Plamondon, demonstrating how the French Canadians celebrated after the harvesting of the maple sugar. They create a friendly ambiance, with a small log shack, French Canadian music playing in the background and people dressed in traditional costumes serving maple sugar.

        Winter Festival of Speed

        This annual event is located on Lac La Biche Lake near McArthur Park. Ice racers seeking thrills at high speed come from across Western Canada to the frozen tracks on Lac La Biche Lake. From the Western Canadian Ice Championships featuring car ice racing to snowmobile drag racing and now motorcycle racing, visitors will get the thrill that ice and speed offer.

          Plamondon Centennial Celebrations

          Centennial Rendez-Vous and the Fete Franco-albertain will be celebrating Plamondon's 100th Birthday!

          Parade, cultural concerts, children's festival, teen tent, pioneer activities, craft and business fair, beer gardens, and many activities for all ages!

          Saturday, July 5, Local talent show followed by a family dance featuring Crystal Plamondon.

          Early bird Weekend Gate Passes till May 15th: $15/person. After May 15th, $25/person. Day passes $10/person, children under 6 are free. Meal tickets and camping stalls must be purchased in advance.

            In its 46th year, the Lac La Biche Pow Wow Days is this community's biggest celebration of the year. Festivities include a midway, dances, games, tournaments, live entertainment and more.

            A Friday morning parade kicks of the celebrations. This event is great for the entire family.
